Our history

Golf Verbania was founded in 1996 by the initiative of a group of golfers driven by authentic passion and a forward-looking vision. In a short time, the Club became a benchmark for players in the Verbano Cusio Ossola area, a popular destination for golfers coming from the Milan metropolitan area, and a natural haven for the numerous tourists who, especially in the spring and summer months, choose Lake Maggiore as their holiday destination.

Over the years, the Club has also distinguished itself as a place for encounters and sharing, hosting culinary events, concerts, and social gatherings dedicated to members and guests, often graced by the presence of personalities from the world of sport, politics, and entertainment. These initiatives have garnered widespread attention from both the specialized press and local media, helping to strengthen the image of Golf Verbania as a center of sporting and cultural excellence.

Its central location within the VCO province, the type of course, and the favorable climatic conditions allow the Club to remain open almost continuously throughout the year. Its easy accessibility, thanks to the proximity of the highway junction, further increases its appeal, making it a benchmark of excellence within the district.

Since 2006, Golf Verbania has been owned by the Manoni family, who have always been attentive to the development of the region and possess a solid tourist vocation. Their vision—matured also through their experience in hospitality, as expressed by the campsite of the same name—has helped to further enhance the Club, strengthening its bond with the landscape, tourism, and the quality hospitality that characterize this extraordinary area.
